Pink Palisades

We are currently camped in eastern SD, on the cusp of its borders with Minnesota and Iowa.  It’s a most unusual location for a State Park, seemingly plopped in the middle of endless corn, soy and hayfields.  But it’s all about the Sioux Quartzite cliffs that line Split Rock Creek as it flows through the park.  We’ve been camping with friends who joined us from Minnesota. Eloise has been having a blast hanging out in person with a classmate from her online school, Falcons, that makes up part of her homeschool curriculum.
